Notes And Why I Hate Them

Note-taking has never been something I'm particularly fond of, and the reason is simple: I hate shorthand. Really, I do; even when texting I need to spell out all of my words (an allowance being made for abbreviating long phrases like "talk to you later" if I'm close to character limit). While taking notes, either you skip writing important things because you run out of time, or you have to abbreviate things and shorten phrases. Example,  the phrase "in the scientific process, one of the most important steps is experimenting" turns into "in the scien'ic process, 1 of most import. steps is experi'ing" if I'm really in a hurry. The grammar freak inside me thrashes violently when I write something like that, but in many classes, it's a necessary evil in order to know what you need to know.
